No place like home

Since the girls and I were snowed in on Tuesday we decided to make the best of it. The day was packed full of playing dress up, pretending to be a patient of the "sweet dentist" and making cupcakes. The "sweet dentist" is something Riley came up with since the regular dentist won't let you have sugar. She says the "sweet dentist is the dentist everybody loves!" It is so fun to watch her personality develop. She came out of her room in the most eccentric outfit she could find announcing that she is Hannah Tana (aka Hannah Montana).

Chloe is mastering her skills at crawling and getting into everything she can get her little hands on. She so happy playing where ever Riley happens to be. Her favorite thing is when Riley tickles her. She laughs so loud its hard not to laugh along with her. She starting to go through the separation anxiety phase which is totally normal for her age. But let's face it, soon she will be following Riley everywhere and not even notice anything else. I can't wait for the bond's of sisterhood to develop; facetiously speaking of course.

Riley, Chloe and cake...oh my!

Finally, a picture without me behind the camera! Kudos to Grand Dad for taking this great pic. The girls and I are at Nana and GD's again this weekend. We are having the great Knight family gathering tomorrow, and most haven't seen Chloe yet so it should be a good day.

Since Riley's b-day is next weekend and she will be with her Daddy we decided to celebrate her b-day tonight. It was a splendid affair. She got a cupcake maker, game and animated stuffed dog. She really enjoyed the sugar rush that came from having chocolate cake and lactose free ice cream. We are still waiting for the remnants of the sugar to get out her system. Or, it could be something about turning 3 ; either way she is a handful and keeps us in check.

Weekend at Burnie's.....

The girls and I spent the weekend with Nana and Grand-Dad for a much needed grandkid spoiling and mommy break. Riley and Chloe are playing together more now although at times Riley is too rough. She loves it when she moves a toy out of Chloe's reach or the infamous "knock Chloe down game". But little does Riley know that Chloe is on the verge of crawling and is quite tenacious despite her layed back nature. I think Chloe will be into EVERYthing. Unlike Riley who pretty much left things alone, her sister will make up for it. Look out everyone because Chloe will be on the loose soon. Oh yeah, I almost forgot about a milstone Chloe reached this weekend. She can now wave! Of course she waves fer entire arm but she is is definitely waving. It's very cute and she is so proud of herslf.

Riley is having her fillings done this Friday morning. I don't think I only speak for myself about being apprehensive about sedation part of the procedure. Hopefully, all goes well and we can maybe use this as a reminder down the road when she asks for candy.

Christmas 2008 pix of the girls

I had fun taking pix of the girls last weekend. Looks like I need more practice at this whole photography thing.
Wonder what the girls are doing with Daddy this weekend?
